A Few Dreamy Properties I’m Loving Right Now

Here’s a quick roundup of some incredible luxury hotels and resorts—some newly opened, some timeless classics that just got a fresh update—that are absolutely worth keeping on your radar. Whether you’re dreaming of the mountains, the Caribbean, or a far-flung island, there’s something here that’ll speak to you.

One&Only Moonlight Basin – Big Sky, Montan

This one is high on my list right now. It’s tucked into the wild beauty of Big Sky with ski-in/ski-out access and jaw-dropping mountain views. The cabins and suites are cozy but luxe, with fireplaces and huge windows that make you feel like you’re part of the landscape. Think elevated mountain lodge energy, but with a One&Only twist—great dining, a beautiful spa, and that signature service. It’s a dream for families who love the outdoors—hiking, biking, skiing, and wide-open spaces.

Rosewood Mandarina – Riviera Nayarit, Mexico

Just opened in 2025, and I’ve already had a few clients fall in love. It’s tucked between the jungle and the beach, with beautiful suites and villas (all with plunge pools, of course). There’s horseback riding, a jungle zip line, excellent dining, and a vibe that’s stylish but totally relaxed. Super family-friendly too—spacious accommodations, plenty of room to roam, and a kids’ club on the way. A great option if you’ve done Punta Mita and want something a little more off the radar.

Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve – Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica

This opened earlier this year and it’s absolutely stunning. Set high on the cliffs of Peninsula Papagayo, you get unreal ocean views from basically everywhere. Rooms and villas all have private plunge pools, and the resort blends nature with polished design beautifully. There’s a treehouse-style bar, a funicular that takes you down to the beach club, and tons of outdoor adventures (surfing, zip lining, hiking). It’s perfect for families who want space, privacy, and that barefoot luxury vibe—with Ritz Reserve-level service to pull it all together.

Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo del Sol – Mexico

A favorite for a reason. If you want something polished, beachfront, and family-friendly in Cabo, it’s hard to beat. The villas and casitas are beautifully done, there are great restaurants (and a coffee shop that’s a hit with kids), and the beach is swimmable—which is rare in Cabo. There’s also a fantastic kids’ club and lots of space to spread out, whether you’re popping in for a weekend or staying for a full week.

St. Regis Cap Cana – Dominican Republic

This one’s still a little under the radar, but it feels really special. Elegant and peaceful, with a gorgeous beach, fantastic dining, and beautifully designed rooms. It’s a great alternative to more crowded Caribbean spots. For families, there are multi-bedroom suites, thoughtful service, and access to the Punta Espada golf course, plus kids’ activities that are elevated and intentional.

Ikos Kissamos – Crete, Greece

Opening April 2026, Ikos Kissamos is a welcome addition to Crete. It’s set on a beautiful stretch

of beach, about 25 minutes from Chania Airport. There will be seven restaurants, multiple pools, a spa, and all the tennis, padel, and watersports you’d expect. What makes Ikos especially great for families is the all-inclusive model (but done really well), plus incredible kids’ programming, babysitting, and family-friendly amenities that actually feel thoughtful.

Waldorf Astoria San Miguel de Allende – Mexico

Right in the heart of San Miguel, this hotel brings elevated luxury to one of Mexico’s most charming colonial towns. Rooftop pool with city views, a dreamy spa, and three restaurants serving upscale Mexican flavors. It’s not a beach resort, but it’s perfect for families who want culture, color, and great food—with plenty of space and service to keep things easy.

St. Regis Longboat Key – Florida Gulf Coast

Now open and already making waves. This beachfront St. Regis on Florida’s Gulf Coast offers gorgeous suites and residences, amazing dining, and all the laid-back elegance you’d expect from the brand. With family pools, direct beach access, a snorkel lagoon, and a huge spa, it’s elevated but still low-key—and incredibly family friendly.

Belmond Hotel Splendido – Portofino, Italy

This one’s a classic for a reason. Newly renovated and perched above Portofino with those iconic views, it’s pure Italian Riviera glamour. Think lemon trees, linen shirts, and aperol spritzes by the pool. While it’s not designed specifically for families, they’re warmly welcomed—especially those with older kids who can appreciate the slower pace and Euro-chic vibe. Great as part of a larger Italy itinerary.
